Our logo was created by two graphic designers (who had just created their company Autre, Planètes) The pixels in the rainbow part are voluntary.
Before that, we did a bit of ASCII art.

In 1996, the Well made use of a softer idea. 
In 1997, IBM had developed their e-commerce activities.
In a deal with IBM, we agreed to add the name of the company into the logo image.
